Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a full-time Community Make ReadyΒ to join our team at Bentley Place Apartments in Plano, Texas.
This position plays an important role in creating a clean, attractive, and welcoming community for our residents and guests. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in your work, and like seeing the results of your efforts every day, we'd love to meet you.
What You Will Do
  • Conduct daily property walks to maintain cleanliness and outstanding curb appeal
  • Pick up trash and debris throughout the community, including common areas and the leasing office
  • Operate pressure washers and other cleaning and maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or property damage promptly
  • Organize and maintain maintenance storage areas and supplies
  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready tasks
  • Assist with maintaining pools, amenities, and common areas as needed
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service to residents and guests
  • Support nearby Gaines Investment Trust communities when business needs require
  • Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work comfortably on ladders and stairs
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • One or more years of make-ready, groundskeeping, janitorial, landscaping, or related maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license (required)
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish, with basic English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining attractive apartment communities
  • Ability to work independently in various weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and self-motivation
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining quality work
  • Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and standing for extended periods
