As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
The Aeroderivative Gas Turbine TFA will be in charge of the management of site activities with experience working on Aero Turbines. The candidate will be responsible for handling the site activities to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements directly executing and/or directing the additional resources. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing on-site technical direction during start-up, commissioning and maintenance on customer owned power generation and industrial facilities.
- Providing installation direction and routine maintenance inspection guidance, including repair and rebuild for equipment with varying sizes and application types.
- Preparing job-planning documents as required.
- Providing input for Daily Outage and Weekly Installation Reports in a clear, detailed and accurate manner.
- Communicating schedule details, project milestones, manpower requirements, quality issues, problems faced and tools/equipment to key stakeholders.
- Providing leadership and technical direction to skilled laborers performing work on customer sites to ensure work activity meets the requirements of the customer.
- Implementing quality control requirements for on-site repair and modification work in compliance with Engineering and Product Development Standards.
- Maintaining strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within company safety standards.
- Preparing timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages.
- Possessing the technical capacity to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment system vintages
- Perform work at customer locations throughout the globe with possible work locations globally. Weekend work, and shift work will be necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Travel extensively (internationally and domestically)
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical/University degree or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Field Services role
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance or power plant equipment installation/commissioning
- Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is required
Desired Characteristics:
- Trainee level. Most new hires with little experience on the GE Product will start in this level. Participates in on the job training.
- Previous LM 2500 and LM 6000 turbine experience
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting turbine generators and Power Turbine Generators
- Working knowledge and application of EHS rules.
- Prior project management experience
- Good organizational, project management, oral/written communication, interpersonal/leadership skills
- Good business acumen and ability to sell GE products to the customer
