Job Summary
The Tooling Facility Supervisor is responsible for the operations of the tooling facility to meet business needs and requests for the customer base. Utilizes technical competency and skills in employee and facility management, financial responsibilities, productivity metrics creation and cost analysis, and office administration. Oversees a team of Tooling Coordinators and manages required compliance activities, including the implementation of government and EHS directives supporting the team on the data management and EHS management for small-medium size facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall tooling inventory, getting tooling ready for jobs, keeping inventory of the kits and uploading data into the tooling management
- Work with other coordinators or workers of the facility to maintain and testing the tools
- Maintain status of tooling calibration and work with day by day with local calibration vendors sending the tools for calibration and repairs
- Responsible for the setup of shipping and coordinate with Tooling Logistic Coordinator the delivery and collection of the tool from the site, the timing and the schedule of delivery
- Inspect tools for integrity and composition; verify the part list according to the template
- Maintain consumables stock
- Work day by day with local calibration vendors
- Supervision of tooling maintenance
- Complete daily routine of working on SDR`S, WF, ETM; tracking, tracing and getting jobs set up with tooling
- Follow up with the logistic team regarding the shipment of the tools and work with the Sourcing Team to establish and negotiate the service contract terms and conditions
- Create the procurement request in the procurement system, work with the Sourcing team to select the adequate supplier’s and coordinate the delivery of the good to the tool center.
- Follow and suggest improvement on ETM processes
- Cooperate with Service managers and TDQ Team to execute on day to day activities or coordinate the organization of the training at the Tool Facility
- Assist with HR issues, employee safety issues, Time & Expense review/approval, company initiatives, and other office related activities
- Report of damaged, missing, and unserviceable tools especially after receiving tools from sites on from the training activity
- Communicate with Facility Manager on a regular basis on day to day operations.
- React efficiently and effectively to supply field service staff for emergency tooling requests
- Supervise/Manage team of Tooling Coordinators
- Manage employees’ performance, identifying training and job assignment, mobilization of field employees, and addressing daily employee needs and requests
- Assist with recruiting and hiring prospective employees by interviewing candidates and assessing job qualifications
- Supervise and follow all EHS requirements in terms of Safety, through Gensuite Action Tracking System and compliance calendar
- Assist management to support external audit
- Fulfill and implement QMS procedures
- Travel may be required
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
- May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- HS Diploma, or equivalent
- 3+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
- 1+ years managing and developing employees
- English proficiency required
Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
- Exercise excellent customer service skills
- Prior generator, gas, or steam turbines experience
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and problem solve
- Familiarity working within a matrix organization
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and Outlook
- SAP7ETM will be a plus
