POSITION SUMMARY
This role supports Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Employment may be through a local employing entity or employer-of-record partner, depending on the hiring location.
The Manager, Events is responsible for the planning, delivery, and success of EO events such as Regional events and meetings in the Americas regions, with a specific emphasis on the region they are assigned. In EO, the Americas super region includes LAC, Canada, as well as US West, US East, and US Central. The Manager will enforce standards, process, tools, resources, and trainings to standardize the planning and execution of regional events and meetings. Additionally, the manager will be involved in translation and interpretation needs of events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees overall success and execution of Regional Events, such as LACademy and other regional events in the Americas, as assigned.
- Oversee overall success and execution of meetings in the LAC Region, to include Presidents Meeting, Moderator Summit and Leadership Summit and Regional Leadership Academy.
- Leads discussions with Regional Directors, Regional Event Committees and other Member Leaders regarding timing, location, financial contributions, and overall strategy of events.
- Deliver member leader committee training and lead the ongoing effort in volunteer training as it relates to Events.
- Manages financial oversight of events, including hotel contract management, approving event budget, and final budget reconciliation.
- Coordinates all meeting set-up, Food and Beverage, Audio/Visual, and room block details with contracted hotels for meetings.
- Coordinates off-site social events and transportation related to events and offers assistance as needed for any pre/post tours.
- Manages internal marketing of events including updates to public site, inclusion of event info in newsletters, sharing with staff, participation in functional calls, and promotion at other regional events.
- Determines staffing needs and organizes travel team including Executive Team and Board registration and travel management (work with Board Liaison and Executive Team Liaison).
- Develops post event report to include evaluations, lessons learned, and organizational impact. Retain important event documents and reassess training and resources to ensure learnings are implemented.
- Coordinates with translation and interpretation team to ensure pre-event material and onsite needs are fulfilled.
- Ensures events are following best practices and minimum standards as outlined by Director.
- Support Director as needed.
- Other event support as assigned – such as GLC, Universities or EO meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Fluency in English and Spanish required
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of event-related program development and execution experience
- Experience planning and executing events in Latin America with experience in US & Canada preferred.
- Experience working in international/global organization
- Contract’s compliance and budget management experience
- Survey creation, data compilation, and analysis
- Experience with the following: CRM’s, Microsoft Suite, Email Marketing Tools, basic web content editing
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments across an organization.
- Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral, with all stakeholders including members, staff, vendors, contractors and others.
- Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact diplomacy and poise.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation, Project Management Training
- Travel could be upwards of 8-10 times a year to include:
- Moderator Summit (Panama, May 2026)
- Canada Regional Event (Cancun, June 2026) - preferred
- Leadership Summit (Porto Alegre, September 2026)
- LAC Regional Event (Costa Rica, October 2026)
- Ability to travel includes Global Staff Week, team meetings, site visits and programs (to lead or assist in successful execution)

Compensation: 696,500-906,500 MXN

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ROLE CONDITIONS
- This role is primarily light work and requires regular use of a computer, telephone, and video-conference platforms.
- The role requires the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
- The role requires travel up to 40%
- The role requires occasional early morning/evening meetings across time zones.
- The role requires lifting/moving up to 5 kgs, as applicable.
