POSITION SUMMARY

Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is excited to share a unique opportunity to develop and support an entrepreneurial membership network. The Manager, US Central will be responsible for the relationship management and guidance of the chapter system within the US Central region, spanning the middle of the United States.

 

This individual will partner with chapter and regional council leadership in alignment with the strategic priorities of the organization. The Manager, US Central Region will work with volunteer board officers on chapter operations, chapter growth, and health. The primary goal of the Manager is to support an environment where healthy, growing chapters can consistently deliver the value of EO to their members. The Central Region of the US has 22 chapters with over 2,000 entrepreneur members, spanning 9 states.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional Management and Support:

  • Manages a portfolio of chapters throughout the US Central Region, building relationships with chapter members, and helping to provide valuable member experience.
  • Serves as main point of contact in collaboration with the rest of the US Central team for Presidents, Chapter Staff, and Boards of those chapters, partnering with them to resolve all questions and concerns.
  • Help chapters with a variety of issues throughout the year with the main goal in mind of putting the chapter in the best possible position to succeed.
  • Provide clear and concise communication regarding the direction and requirements of EO to the chapters.
  • Promote Healthy Chapter practices in alignment with organizational standards, and keep chapters informed on upcoming opportunities and resources.
  • Partner in chapter strategic planning and execution during annual summit meetings, monthly area calls, and other scheduled events.
  • Supports the POL process by working with local chapters and identifying potential leaders. Managing the POL application process.
  • Serve as the staff liaison to five Area Directors and support them in delivering support to their assigned chapters.
  • Promote the hosting of Strategy Summits annually. Attend summits and support all USC chapters in developing productive plans for the year ahead.
  • Support the Onboarding Process for new chapters as needed.
  • Stimulates growth strategies within the chapters through various retention strategies.
  • Maintain connection and collaborate with Member Service Center and Concierge to elevate communication throughout the region.

 

Regional Support and Collaboration:

  • Serve as the Staff Liaison to Chapters and Chapter Staff.
  • Monitor and track regional co-investment requests from Chapters and work in partnership with Regional Member Leaders to promote funding opportunities for chapters.
  • Attend at least three EO leadership and membership conferences per year.
  • Support the Regional Director in preparing for the annual Presidents’ Meeting, Alignment Meeting, Global Leadership Conference, and XCentric.
  • Assist the Staff Regional Director in preparing for monthly Regional Council Meetings.
  • Support the annual regional programing and summits.
  • Video Conference Meetings – Weekly staff huddle, monthly EO all-staff meeting, monthly membership, weekly one-on-ones with staff, monthly Regional Council, and project meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties and leads projects as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent relevant industry work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a nonprofit/association/membership organization or strategic sector.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% within the Us Central Region and internationally.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service and coaching skills
  • Growth and global mindset; possess the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing circumstances to drive positive outcomes.
  • Proficiency in collaboration tools, project management, and customer relationship management tools required.
  • Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy, and poise.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job.
  • Exercises confidentiality and discretion.
  • Promotes cultural competency and global awareness.
  • Establishes relationships proactively; shows genuine interest in the needs and concerns of others; maintain a positive attitude; build networks.

 

POSTING DISCLOSURES

Compensation: EO reasonably and in good faith expects to pay between $71,000 and $92,500 per year for this position upon hire. Final compensation will depend on skills, experience, internal equity, and work location.

Other Compensation: This position is not eligible for bonus, commission, equity, or other incentive compensation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This role is primarily sedentary work and requires regular use of a computer, telephone, and video-conference platforms.
  • The role requires the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
  • The role requires travel up to 40%.
  • The role requires occasional early morning/evening meetings across time zones.
