About the Role:
This isn’t your average communications role. This is a brand new role which you can grow into and shape to fit the business needs as the organisation grows.
You’ll be telling Confluent’s story to the country. You will assist in the creation of local storylines and top-line messages that will speak to and influence varied audiences - from technical to non-technical, building Confluent’s brand.. This isn't your average comms program. You'll be at the forefront of a modern PESO (paid, earned, shared and owned) comms approach for a category creating company.
The right candidate should have a strong B2B technology background in public relations/communications and a passion for storytelling. You’re a creative thinker who is comfortable working in a matrixed way across the organisation to drive results.
What You Will Do:
- Drive the India PR agency to increase local awareness by creating and delivering compelling stories for the data streaming platform narrative.
- Take to market global content initiatives whilst understanding local market nuances, and working with these to set Confluent apart from the competition locally.
- Partner with demand marketing, customer advocacy and talent marketing on a regular basis to achieve world class success on a regional level.
- Elevate the voices of our local executives using their unique points of view for thought leadership and local media opportunities.
- Share all local content on the Confluent social channels and internally enable employees to share.
- Assist in managing local branded paid partnerships with content creation and co-creation for relevant audiences.
- Find creative opportunities to tell the Confluent story to the target audience, including awards, research etc.
- Partner with our internal communications team on various executive comms, including all hands.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience driving PR agencies with a desire to achieve great results on behalf of the company
- Knowledge of paid, earned, shared and owned media
- Proven ability to roll out the company narrative in impactful ways
- Track record of reporting and sharing results in a regular cadence
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and willingness to embrace change and adapt plans on the fly
- A high quality bar and meticulous attention to detail
- B2B enterprise marketing experience
- Curiosity and ability to transition from strategic thinking to creative execution
- Passion for technology and ability to articulate complex technical concepts in ways that make sense to a range of audiences
- 8+ years of related communications experience
