About the Role:
As Technical Enablement Manager you will report to the Global Customer Solutions Group (CSG) Role Excellence leader. You will work closely with the Vice President of EMEA CSG and will be responsible for enabling Confluent's EMEA CSG Teams on all new products, platforms and solutions that we sell to our customers. This will include direct participation in our new product introduction (NPI) program as well as the development of programs focused on new hire and ongoing enablement.
Best-in-breed CSG is a critical part of the success of our customers, and this role will play a key part in ensuring the technical and operational readiness of our CSG personnel globally.
In this role, you will work closely with leadership, product managers, engineering and marketing leads to ensure you are identifying gaps in current enablement and delivering high impact enablement to fill the gaps. You will also be responsible for creating enablement for New products and measuring its success. You will need to develop and maintain a firm understanding of our end customers, cloud partners (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google), and the needs of our CSG technical experts so that you can properly identify what is relevant for technical field teams to be enabled.
What You Will Do:
- Own EMEA Customer Solutions Group readiness in Confluent’s new product releases, GTM initiatives, Tools & processes impacting directly CSG success in EMEA Region.
- Create an enablement framework and execute to improve technical skills, operational readiness, and professional skills.
- Work closely with CSG, Sales and Marketing leadership to plan Quarterly enablement for the field.
- Lead content creation working closely with Confluent's engineering and product teams. This role will not be expected to develop enablement content, but should be capable in pursuing answers independently, technical skill to contribute and review the effectiveness of enablement material.
- Drive cross-functional readiness programs, host and assist on events to enable CSG.
- Manage project timelines and SME resource allocation to generate high impact enablement resources..
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Peer Technical Instructors and Learning Designers.
- Partner with the CSG Leadership Team to plan for enablement initiatives/
- Develop post-launch follow-up mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the enablement content and programs.
- Continually evolve and improve our release readiness programs to ensure that they are efficient, scalable, and driving improvement to overall readiness.
- Represent the CSG team in new product architecture reviews. You should be able to identify risk areas and gaps in enablement and then communicate effectively to ensure that the risks are addressed.
- Collaborate with content management and enablement peers by adhering to the content lifecycle process as it pertains to product releases including on-boarding and other enablement programs.
- Define and track release readiness/enablement KPIs and periodically evaluate programs based on feedback and KPIs.
What You Will Bring:
- MBA Preferred (But not required)
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Role like Professional Services or Sales Engineer Role
- (OR) 5+ years experience in technical program management and technical marketing.
- (OR) 7+ years of building and running enablement programs for customer-facing technical teams.
- Strong technical background; should be able to understand and convey highly technical subject matter.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, and experience communicating at all levels of the organization
- Exceptional time management skills and an ability to prioritize projects effectively.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Open, growth mindset with a high degree of self-motivation, fostered in a face-paced, high growth, dynamic environment

- Experience working with, cloud computing technology (AWS, Azure, GCP)
