About the Role:

This role will be based in India. Many of your closest partners will be based in India, Bengaluru and there will be many opportunities to work with other teammates across the globe. The ideal candidate would have prior experience working as a technical design lead. You should thrive in complex, ambiguous problem spaces. You should be excited to bring other designers along with you to discover, visualize, and pitch exciting new directions for Confluent. 

What You Will Do:

• Support design initiatives for various features of the Confluent, with a focus on our Data Streaming Platform.
• Lead other designers in multiple areas of business to translate complex conceptual ideas into interaction or service design solutions tailored to meet the needs of our customers.
• Drive product strategy with our R&D partners by acting as the voice of the customer and aligning user needs with business and technical requirements.
• Craft consistent, delightful, best-in-class user experiences and provide feedback to other designers to ensure design excellence.
• Perform usability testing, gather feedback from end users, and share findings and recommendations with the broader team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and fellow designers to launch new product experiences, track performance, and iterate on enhancements.

What You Will Bring:

• Ability to innovate like crazy and design your way through the toughest problems.
• Ability to advocate for the role of design in the product delivery process.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leads to help inform product direction and strategies.
• Skilled at leading other designers to drive toward a shared vision.
• Excellent craftsmanship. Extreme attention to detail when it comes to construction of UI, systematic solutions, and workflows.
• Skilled at helping teams navigate complexity and ambiguity.
• Enthusiastic about giving and receiving constructive feedback to drive design excellence.
• Effective at communicating your team’s ideas and direction to a variety of audiences.
• A portfolio showcasing your process, designs, and outcomes
• 12+ years working as a Product Designer/ UX ( Relevant Experience )
• 4+ years working as a Design Lead
• Good to have basic technical knowledge.
