The Sr. Manager, Sales Operations – Amazon will play a critical role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the ecommerce sales function. This leader will oversee inventory, analytics, systems, and tools to optimize performance and ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, process-oriented, and experienced in ecommerce sales environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Amazon Sales Operations & Performance Management

Collaborate with the sales and Ecommerce teams to develop and execute operational strategies that drive sales growth and optimize performance on Amazon.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Amazon business, ensuring products are available, orders are fulfilled on time, and listings are accurate.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, fulfillment, and customer experience, and take action to improve performance.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

Partner with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage product inventory levels, ensuring stock availability and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations.

Partner with Amazon In Stock teams to manage inventory levels to sustain a healthy weeks of cover and prevent out of stocks on a regional level.

Work with Amazon’s inventory management tools and processes to track shipments and ensure optimal inventory placement.

Collaborate with the operations team to streamline the replenishment process, improve lead times, and maintain a high level of operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

Serve as a key liaison between the Amazon sales team, supply chain, and finance teams, ensuring alignment on operational tasks, priorities, and deadlines.

Coordinate with Amazon-specific teams (e.g., Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central) to resolve issues, track performance, and execute operational initiatives.

Provide regular updates to leadership on business performance, operational challenges, and key initiatives.

Process Optimization & Problem-Solving

Identify areas for process improvements within Amazon sales operations, inventory management, and fulfillment workflows.

Develop and implement operational solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience on Amazon.

Proactively resolve operational issues such as order discrepancies, inventory shortfalls, and fulfillment delays.

Oversee chargeback and invoice dispute management, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of financial discrepancies, and working closely with the finance team to minimize financial risks.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

Experience: 

7+ years of experience in sales operations, supply chain, or Ecommerce operations, with at least 2 years of direct experience working with Amazon (Vendor Central, Seller Central, or similar).

Proven track record of optimizing operational processes, driving performance, and solving challenges in an Amazon business context.

Experience in managing day-to-day operations, inventory, order fulfillment, and logistical coordination in an Ecommerce environment.

Skills: 

Amazon Expertise: Deep knowledge of Amazon’s systems, tools, and processes, including Vendor Central, Seller Central, and FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon).

Operational Excellence: Ability to identify inefficiencies in operations and implement scalable solutions to improve processes, reduce costs, and drive efficiency.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Strong understanding of inventory management, replenishment processes, and working with logistics teams to ensure on-time fulfillment and product availability.

Mindset: 

Highly proactive with a solutions-oriented mindset, taking the initiative to address challenges and drive improvements.

Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities. 

Environmental Factors: 

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
