POSITION SUMMARY:  
As the HR Specialist in Stamford, you’ll wear many hats, and you’ll gain solid experience to further your HR career. You’ll work with our COEs in Business Partnering, Total Rewards, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition with the goal of supporting the HR team in its optimal functioning and ensuring a seamless HR operational experience for employees.  
  
KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Employee Experience  
  • Partners with Director and L&D to roll out engagement survey and to calibrate results.  
  • Conducts onboarding sessions with new employees, including verifying I9 documentation, reviewing policies, performance management, and other relevant information.  
  • Conducts offboarding sessions, including collecting and analyzing data and making recommendations for future hires.  
  • Along with the HR team, a champion of culture and optimal employee experience. 
Compliance  
  • Working with the HR Director, ensure that Conair is compliant with all labor law postings in physical locations and digitally. 
  • Ensure that the most recent versions of policies are published; takes a lead role in the update of the employee policy manual on MyConairGlobal 
  • Undertakes annual review of policies to ensure they still meet legal and compliance standards and meet the business and cultural needs of Conair.  
  • Organizes and administers HR-related compliance training.  
Data  
  • Responsible for the prompt and accurate input of data and changes into ADP Vantage HCM and other HR systems; along with HRIS team, responsible for data integrity.  
  • Runs frequent people data reports from ADP; manipulates and analyzes data.  
HR File Management and Process Improvement 
  • Organize and simplify HR’s electronic filing system to ensure clarity, efficiency, and compliance.  
  • Implement best practices for file management, ensuring that all documents are correctly categorized, stored, and easily retrievable. 
  • Develop and support a consistent naming convention and structure for electronic files. 
  • Regularly review and update the file organization system to maintain efficiency. 
  
Additional Responsibilities 
  • Partners with the HRBP team to proactively address internal stakeholder HR operations request. 
  • Project coordination for large HR workstreams, such as performance reviews and employee engagement surveys. 
  • All responsibilities undertaken with an eye toward efficiency and continuous improvement as we elevate HR Operations and Employee Experiences at Conair.  
  • Other responsibilities assigned as needed 
  
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • 4-year degree preferred in an HR discipline. 
  • Minimum 2 years of HR operational work experience.  
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.  
  • Experience with an HRIS system preferred.  
  • Data driven; aptitude for analyzing and reporting data to various levels of stakeholders.  
  • Highly process oriented with an ability to rebuild or construct internal HR processes. 
  • Detail-oriented in the extreme. 
  • Innate understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality. 
  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritize work. 
  • Excellent and succinct written and oral communication skills. 
  • Sense of humor! 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.  
  
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: 
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. 
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. 
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time. 
  • In our Stamford office, we currently work on a hybrid work schedule, 3 days' work in the office, 2 days' work from home.
