Job Title: 2025 Summer Kids Intern

Ministry/Department: Eleven22 Kids

Reports to: Campus Kids Minister

Supervisory Role: No

Objective

To work alongside the Eleven22 Kids team and partner with families to help children discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ through The Church of Eleven22® summer internship program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with ministry area direct report
  • Attend kids team meeting on Tuesdays
  • Attend All Staff meetings on Tuesdays
  • Assist in the execution of two large-group Eleven22 Kids worship gathering events
  • Execute tasks assigned by direct report, i.e. making phone calls, planning curriculum, preparing for services, maintaining Rock responsibilities, etc.
  • Attend School of Ministry on Wednesday mornings

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some volunteer-based ministry experience preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work may vary based on the church needs.

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This role would require long periods of being on your feet and walking. As well as occasional times where, light lifting would be required.

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
