Senior director, SUPPORT PROGRAMS

 

The Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the elderly) organization (PO) that uses an interdisciplinary team approach for care planning and implementing purposeful high quality, affordable, and integrated health care services to the elderly. Our elderly meet PACE requirements as prescribed by CMS and are referred to as participants.  Our PO includes an Adult Day Health Centers, promoting participant autonomy, quality of life and the ability for individuals to live in their communities

The Position

The Senior Director of Support Programs reports to the SVP, Operations and is responsible for overseeing and managing the strategic and operational aspects of support services and ancillary programs within the healthcare organization. Specific areas of oversight include In-Home Care Services, Home and Community Based (HCBA) Waiver program, Transportation, and Facilities. This role ensures the effective integration, coordination, and enhancement of services that complement and support senior care, aiming to improve participant outcomes, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Develops and implements strategic plans for support and ancillary programs and are aligned with the organization’s goals. Identifies opportunities for service expansion and improvement in all areas of accountability, with emphasis on measurement and goal attainment.

 

Oversees the day-to-day operations, including but not limited to direct participant care areas of transportation, and home care services, with emphasis on growth, process improvement, participant satisfaction, and workforce planning and engagement to drive desired outcomes.

 

Oversees an in-house team of maintenance technicians, as well as contractors and vendors to assure quality, timeliness and effectiveness of work.

 

Oversees the HCBA program including identifying continued growth opportunities for the HCBA program while maintaining regulatory compliance and high client satisfaction.

 

Develops, implements, and monitors operational, quality, and service delivery goals and targets through our strategic and operational OKR (Objective Key Results) process.

 

Leads, mentors, and manages a team of leaders and staff within area of responsibility.

Fosters a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

 

Monitors and ensures adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to areas of accountability, and coordination with internal Quality and Regulatory functions.

Implements quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and participant satisfaction.

 

Develops and manages budgets for support and ancillary programs.

Monitors financial performance and implement cost-effective strategies while maintaining high-quality service delivery.

 

Collaborates with peer leaders, medical staff, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive care delivery and address any issues related to support services. Represents the organization in external forums related to support services.

 

Assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of support and ancillary programs through data analysis and performance metrics. Utilizes feedback and data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Clinical Management, or a related field.

 

Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in healthcare management, with a focus on support services, ancillary programs, or ambulatory health settings. Preference for senior services or PACE model of care. Proven track record of leadership and successful program management.

 

Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, strategic thinking, and financial acumen. Proficiency in data analysis and quality improvement methodologies.

Unlike other healthcare plans, CEI is not a "fee-for-service" plan. It is a “capitation” healthcare plan. CEI is paid a set amount for each person enrolled in our program, whether or not that individual seeks care. We are a growing company that offers stability and continues to thrive.
