The Opportunity

Our Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland Team is expanding to better serve our customers. With over 30 retail and commercial mix stores located in the lower mainland, Kal Tire is in search of an experienced retail management professional to join our team.

 

The role of Store Manager is vital to the overall success of the operation - from ensuring the safety of our team members and customers, to providing the best possible customer experience, to working with fellow team members on their career goals. The ideal candidate is highly driven and customer-centric with a proven ability to problem solve and multi-task in a very fast-paced operating environment. The ability to make quick judgement calls and manage a variety of activities on a continual basis is critical to this role. With a minimum of three years in an operational, managerial environment, the successful candidate brings a strong track record of enhancing team member productivity and company profits.

  • Proven success in a managerial role overseeing and mentoring large teams
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative and supportive workplace environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build long-term trusting business relationships
  • Previous knowledge and experience in a retail or relevant industry.
  • Completion of Grade 12 or GED

 

Special Requirements

  • Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as required
  • Openness to relocate for future internal opportunities with Kal Tire
