OTR Coordinator – Mining Tire Group-Temporary Full-Time (16-18 months)

Kal Tire’s Mining Division is a tire management service company that works on over 25 mining operations across Canada. We enable our customers to be productive and safe, helping them get the most out of their tires by maximizing equipment availability while ensuring a safe working environment at all times.     
The OTR Coordinator is responsible for the general administration and reporting of information as it relates to OTR (Off the road) inventory management for the Mining Tire Group. The role is also responsible for assisting with the efficient flow and oversight of inventory out to mine sites across Canada. To be successful, the ideal candidate must be able to maximize business relationships and liaise with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders.  This position supports the Mining Tire Group (MTG) within Canada and will be either hybrid or remote based out of the Vernon Office.  This role reports to the Financial Controller, MTG and is a temporary full-time role.    
 
CORE RESPONSBILITY     
 
Inventory    
  • Responsible for monitoring monthly inventory reporting.
  • Capture, process, monitor, and track inventory from port to MTG Warehouse, to site.
  • Reconcile Mining Tire Group warehouse inventory.
  • Review obsolete inventory, report monthly and circulate to internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for reviewing and oversight of pre-existing year-end inventory controls.
    
Supply Management     
  • Order and receive product from outside suppliers and Kal Tire warehouses.
  • Approve and code invoices from customs brokers while ensuring that proper costs are assigned.
Supplier Management     
    
  • Track all incoming product from suppliers by PO’s, monthly orders, etc.
  • Reconcile, approve, and code the final invoices from suppliers for product received and send to Accounts Payable.
  • Invoice outgoing product from warehouse and vendors to appropriate sites.
  • Responsible for ordering, stocking, and movement of ancillary product to branches.
  • Assist in setting buying procedures for regional staff.
  • Establish and maintain price lists (buy-sell) for certain non-tire products.
  • Forecast consumption of non-tire products and manage inventory where required.
    
Planning and Forecasting    
    
  • Liaise and act as the point of contact with suppliers and manufacturers for orders, quotes, supply, delivery, pricing, or other related issues.
  • Coordinate and plan small OTR tire orders for Kal Tire warehouses and Mining Tire Group branches.
Reporting    
  • Liaise, interact, and build relationships with internal Kal Tire departments.
  • Create ad hoc reports and analysis for internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Reconcile accounts payable related to Mining Tire Group warehouse.
  • Support as needed with billing for internal departments, customers, and suppliers.
    
Communications and Support    
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the various Mining Tire Group stakeholders and Kal Tire teams.
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with outside suppliers and vendors.
  • Provide support to MTG administrators and coordinators as necessary.
    
What kind of person we are looking for ?     
  • Minimum two years working in a general administrative or business support role.
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional education or certification would be considered an asset.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as PDF Editing.
  • Experience with Inventory and point of sales systems.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Able to investigate, trouble shoot errors and analyze information flows across all systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software.
  • Mining and/or OTR Tire knowledge would be considered an asset (tire sizes, tread patterns, and compounds).
  • Experience working in sales cycles will be an asset.

  • Competitive wages 52,826- 60,029 depending on experience.
