Mailroom Representative
The Mailroom Representative, ensures the seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items for the Mailroom. This is a permanent part-time role, working a set bi-weekly schedule, with the opportunity for additional hours to cover vacation time and ad hoc support as needed by the department.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping/Receiving
  • Stamping Canada Post mail.
  • Filing branch mail.
  • Dispersing incoming mail.
  • Picking and packaging of orders.
  • General mailroom/loading dock cleanup.
  • General shipping/receiving.
  • Track lost packages.
  • International shipping
Warehousing
  • Maintaining all safety supplies for all locations, including ordering and invoicing.
  • Online ordering for stores supplies, including invoice approval.
Printing
  • Assist Payroll with the printing of their payroll stubs and associated distribution.
  • Trouble shooting and general maintenance on all equipment.
  • Operates and maintains a range of printing equipment (e.g., photocopier, digital printing press) and finishing equipment (e.g., trimmer, binder) to print quantities of various documents
Administration
  • High volume of telephone communication.
  • Retaining product/promotion information for items shipped to Kal Tire locations.
  • Retaining information regarding Kal Tire locations and appropriate managers/sales people.
  • Approval of store plaque orders
  • Daily banking runs and other errands.
 WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 6 months’ comparable experience or relevant combination of education and experience.
 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to weigh and measure items.
  • Working knowledge of safe packing methods.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 EDUCATION
  • Grade 12 or GED equivalent
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must hold a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • This job requires one to be on their feet all day with the ability to lift 50 pounds.

The position pays $18-$20/ hour based on experience
