Job Summary and Responsibility
The Email Marketing Producer will be responsible for supporting email campaign execution in support of Medscape’s CME & Education initiatives. The Email Marketing Producer is expected to triage email marketing requests by confirming intake requirements, building, QAing, scheduling and launch campaigns as well as provide post-deployment monitoring as needed. The candidate may also assist in building solutions to increase the level of quality and productivity within the Medscape Education email department. The role requires a general understanding in the areas of email marketing best practices as well as a deeper understanding of all aspects of technical production support (content/dynamic content creation, audience segmentation, automation configuration, etc).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Digital Email Producer position will be responsible for the successful production, management, and deployment of email products and completing associated tasks with internal project tracking tools.
- Review campaign intake tickets and confirm campaign requirements and information are complete
- Manage audience and segment creation using imports, filters or queries
- Manage the end-to-end QA & UAT process
- Attend daily meetings with internal team members to understand blockers and priorities.
- Understanding email capabilities and current processes to identify gaps, optimization opportunities and potential risks
- Expectation may include hands-on development of re-usable, scalable and automated solutions to increase efficiency and productivity
- Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and new product capabilities
- Create documentation outlining day-to-day email product processes

Position Requirements:
- BS Degree or relevant equivalent degree
- 2+ years experience with an enterprise-level Email Service Provider tool; Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) experience a plus
- Experience with Ampscript & SQL queries
- Extensive understanding of email best practices
- Experience with creating audiences through various segmentation tools (queries, filters, etc.)
- Strong organizational, operational, analytical, and project management skills
- Experience using web based project management tools (e.g. JIRA, YouTrack)
- Proven success in working both independently as well as with cross-functional teams
- Strong adherence to process documentation and good eye for detail
- Ability to quickly identify and address operational and process issues and escalate to leadership
