  • Engage with leaders of acquisition targets to establish and maintain relationships and assess mutual interest
  • Lead the development of the business case or investment approval and present recommendations to company leadership and Board of Directors
  • Manage cross-functional deal teams in the completion of due diligence (finance, product, engineering, legal, people, etc.)
  • Work alongside legal and finance in negotiation and execution of relevant transaction agreements
  • Partner with M&A Integration Director to effectively plan post-closing integration and implementation
  • Report out regularly to Uplight executive leadership and the Board of Directors on pipeline, including target prospecting and status of live deal
  • Travel expected, most likely <20% of time
What you bring to Uplight:
  • An unrelenting passion for closing deals and delivering results
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in corporate development/strategy, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, and/or strategy consulting
  • Experience in the energy sector with a focus on clean energy, energy transition, and/or decarbonization
  • Direct experience leading the execution of M&A and/or complex deals
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in end to end deal execution

  • Ability to form your own perspective and deliver a fact-based, data drive, supportable recommendation to executive and Board level leaders
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Superb analytical skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
