What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Project Manager in providing leadership and oversight for daily operations and project administration.
  • Manage and develop staff including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Support.
  • Review and issue Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
  • Understand legal documents, including Owner Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders.
  • Conduct meetings with local authorities and build relationships to support project progress.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy in cost accounting and projections.
  • Provide regular financial updates to field staff.
  • Approve subcontractor and supplier invoices and pay applications.
  • Ensure timely communication of project progress and issues.
  • Maintain and update project schedules.
  • Visit job sites to ensure construction aligns with project documents, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project closeout activities and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Train and mentor staff for career progression.

 

Our Ideal Candidate for this Role:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • + 2 years of progressive construction site management experience
  • Or an associate’s degree + 4 years of experience; Or a GED + 6 years of experience

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • In-depth understanding of construction methods, cost accounting, scheduling, and estimating
