Job Summary

Positions are open for upcoming multifamily developments for 2024 and 2025.

Field Management position that provides on-site coordination and leadership for all phases of the construction project. Includes management and development of field staff that may include Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and hourly trade employees. Position may also be required to assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to achieve established corporate goals and support the corporate mission.                                                             

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Although other duties may be assigned as needed, the key responsibilities and duties of the job are:   
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget the time required to meet deadlines.
  • Confer with Project Manager, Owners, and Contractors to discuss and resolve matters such as procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Daily communication is expected.
  • Plan, organize, and direct all on-site activities concerned with the construction. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building codes, safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Oversee Subcontractors who are under contract to complete specific scopes of work on the project.
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays on construction sites to ensure that proper procedures are being met.
  • Verify TTC material deliveries and comply with procurement requirements.
  • Review and approve project pay applications and invoices.
  • Complete a written daily log of work activities on the job site.
  • Have weekly contact with each subcontractor’s foreman and review and agree to work activities required to be completed during the following week and manpower to be provided.
  • Ensure the job site remains clean and free of construction debris to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being installed.
  • Understand cost accounting and keep the field team aware of project cost projections.
  • Responsible for project completion and punch process.
  • Provide necessary training and direction to assist staff to achieve position advancement.     

 

Annual Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000/per year depending on experience  

Education and Experience
                                                                                                                  
Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field of study. An equivalent level of education and experience will be considered.

Minimum Experience: 7 years of progressive experience in construction site management.

Skills, Certifications, and Designations

Skills:   Advanced understanding of construction means and methods including. Scheduling, cost accounting, quality control, inspections, and job site safety. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Ability to demonstrate strong competency in leadership, teamwork, communications, problem-solving, and initiative. Must exhibit professionalism and organizational expertise to blend subcontractors, and materials suppliers into an effective and efficient workforce that results in a safe, on-schedule, and quality project. Must be an Organizational Leader who will stand behind the organization’s decisions and work toward their realization.

Heavy Physical Activity          

Job requires team members to be mobile; frequently lifting 50 to 80 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds. The duties of the job require the frequent use of hand and fingers to type, reach, grasp, and handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. In addition, it requires the ability to stand, climb, stoop, kneel crouch, crawl, and navigate uneven surfaces. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Job duties require the physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, work above ground level on construction hoists, ability to climb ladders, negotiate work areas under construction, and maintain balance and equilibrium to prevent falling. Job frequently involves exposure to dust, fumes, odors, heavy machinery, machinery with moving parts, scaffolding and high places, and noise (must shout to be heard).
