Job Title: SXEW Operator | Department: Operations |

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor & Control Operations:
Oversee the entire SX (Solvent Extraction) and EW (Electrowinning) circuit, ensuring smooth operation of pumping systems, ponds, mixer-settlers, tanks, and rectifiers.
- Adjust Process Parameters:
Regularly test and fine-tune flow rates, chemical dosing, and pH levels to maintain optimal copper recovery and current efficiency. - Tankhouse Operations:
Maintain cathode quality by ensuring smooth operation of the plant, cell maintenance, and conducting cathode harvesting with care and precision. - Safety & Environmental Stewardship:
Always follow site safety protocols and environmental regulations. Participate in routine safety checks, audits, and risk assessments. - Data Logging & Reporting:
Accurately document process data, production volumes, and shift reports. Report anomalies and assist in troubleshooting. - Routine Maintenance Support:
Assist maintenance teams with basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. - Chemical Handling:
Safely handle reagents such as extractants, diluents, acids, and flocculants. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and usage.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in hydrometallurgical processing, preferably in an SXEW operation.
- Strong understanding of solvent extraction chemistry and electrowinning fundamentals.
- Ability to read P&IDs, follow SOPs, and respond to DCS/HMI control changes.
- Mechanically inclined with good troubleshooting instincts.
- Comfortable working in outdoor and plant environments with PPE.
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in process technology or metallurgy is a plus.
- 2+ years in mining, chemical processing, or industrial plant operations.
- Familiarity with copper mining and in-situ recovery (ISR) is a bonus.
Work Conditions
- 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night)
- Outdoor exposure to heat, acid mist, and chemical environments
- Physically demanding: walking, lifting, standing for long periods
