Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Perform a broad range of activities associated with the timely and accurate titling and registration of tractors and trailers on behalf of the company.

  • Process, track, distribute, and account for a high volume of titles and/or registrations, in adherence to the processes and procedures established by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for authorized third parties, and Swift leadership. Follow state approved processes for trailer registrations, issue of cab cards and annual renewals; this is for any state in which Swift is approved to self license.
  • Process and distribute International Registration Plan (IRP) requirements for all tractor fleets, for all states in which Swift is approved to self license, including renewals. Ensure adherence and follow all guildlines throughout completion process as mandated by state IRP requirements; follow timeline for processing as required by department Leader.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to drivers and other internal or external parties regarding licensing/registration, titles, or other related matters, in a timely manner; regularly communicate with drivers (telephone, qual-com, in person, or vial e-mail) regarding the status of their licenses and permits.
  • Develop pro-active, timely solutions to unique and /or challenging licensing/registration/titling questions and provide leadership with timely feedback regarding any operationally relevant matters.
  • Identify and suggest potential cost savings and/or driver retention initiatives in order to assist in the improvement of department efficiency and maximization of resource utilization.
  • Ordering permits from states for tractors and trailers.
  • Participate in departmental ad hoc/special projects as required.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • Prior experience with Motor Carrier/IRP title & registration transactions or equivalent experience, is preferred. Upon hiring, candidates must possess ADOT certifications necessary to process title and registration transactions on behalf of an authorized third party, or must be willing to obtain such certifications within 90 days of hire. Background check and finger printing may be required.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be self-motivated, team player, able to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-volume, transaction-based operation and consistently meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills, communication skills (oral and written), and Customer Service skills are essential. Individuals must also be proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel, as well as basic office equipment (copy machine, fax machine, telephones). Must be able to occasionally work overtime or on weekends, as requested by leadership. Local area travel will also be occasionally required. Must be detail oriented.


Pay Range: $17.90 - $25.12 Hourly
