Responsibilities

The Strategic Reporting Analyst will use their analytical skills to deliver data-driven solutions and insights to key stakeholders throughout Shamrock Trading Corp. They must demonstrate effective communication skills to understand business needs and the ability to effectively communicate complex solutions to non-technical users. They must exhibit time-management and prioritization skills and be able to work with autonomy. The Strategic Reporting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and improving current BI reporting and analytical solutions and developing new solutions as needed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Research current business reporting/analytical solutions and determine what improvements and additions are necessary to meet the needs of the business unit
  • Continuously seek feedback from upper management and the executive team to aid in driving top and bottom-line growth
  • Develop and execute management reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis requests
  • Perform routine educational demonstrations of new reports and analytical tools for both end users and senior management of all Shamrock subsidiaries
  • Utilize project management skills to ensure responsibilities are properly identified and prioritized, timelines are met, and consistent status updates are communicated to stake holders

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from large data sets, exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to creatively solve challenging problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex concepts and analytical findings to a wide variety of audiences
  • General business acumen, with the ability to analyze the transportation industry and recommend business improvements
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining several tasks and can cross- functionally perform jobs when needed
  • Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL
  • Experience with Business Intelligence software, such as Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience writing scripts/code
