Facilities Technician

Maintenance Knoxville, Tennessee


Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage utilities (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Compressed Air) contractor relationships
  • Ensure all machines are running acceptably for production demands
  • Generate purchase orders for facilities and maintenance-related expenditures
  • Perform utility PM activities (filter changes, coil cleaning, battery changes, etc.)
  • First responder to HVAC, plumbing, and utility malfunctions, repairing when able
  • Painting, patching, ceiling tile replacement, light bulb/ballast replacement, etc.
  • Generate reports for building monitoring
  • Assist with machine PM's

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Working with plant utility systems (power distribution, compressed air).
  • Maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC components, including chillers and plumbing.
  • Equipment and machinery operations.
  • Computer proficiency in writing reports, analyzing data, and writing PO's

Experience:

  • Have worked with PLCs, Sensors, and Detectors
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives
  • Familiarity with pumps
  • Knowledge of HMI display and control systems
  • Knowledge of reading, writing diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • 2+ years working with machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Has or will complete a Maintenance apprenticeship or 2 yr. technical school or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work with outside contractors to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
