POSITION: HR Leader/Business Partner (US Operations)  

LOCATION: Remote  

   

DESCRIPTION:  

This is an outstanding opportunity for an HR leader/Business Partner who is passionate about supporting and building people strategies to help grow our business and our human capital. This position will oversee the HR team supporting 11 of our US manufacturing facilities which are in CA, DE, GA, MA, MN, NC, PA, VA, WI and be part of the global HR team for our Filtration & Advanced Materials group.   

The successful candidate is an experienced, collaborative people leader and business partner who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and ever-changing environment.  

   

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Business Partner: Key member of the Filtration & Advanced Materials HR Leadership Team; provides both strategic and operational support to the business and is focused on ensuring we meet overall company goals and objectives. This position is the primary business partner for our supply chain, operations, quality and EHS leadership team.
  • Leadership: Oversees HR teams for all manufacturing sites in our Filtration & Advanced Materials group in the US. 
  • HR Expert: Acts as a subject matter expert within the organization; recommends best practices, ensures compliance with key legal requirements and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Talent Acquisition: Designs and executes workforce planning and recruitment strategies that attract and retain the best talent in the industry.
  • Employee Relations: Promotes a philosophy of employee relations throughout the company which emphasizes open communications, the value of people, equal opportunities and treatment, and continuous learning. Provides coaching and guidance to site HR team members and partners with the business to solve complex employee relations matters.
  • Labor Strategy: Develop and implement labor relations strategies in both union and non-union sites.  Able to negotiate collective bargaining agreements and to represent the company in investigations, arbitrations, and other legal matters.
  • Performance Management: Work with HR team members and business operations leaders to monitor, develop and manage performance of our employees.
  • Compensation: Partners with our Center of Excellence to ensure our compensation practices continue to attract and reward top talent.  Provides oversight to salary administration for the business, including pay for performance management and compensation processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to draw insights, develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • HR Strategy Execution: Lead succession planning and critical talent identification efforts for assigned groups; analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the Talent Management Team and the HR leadership team to draw insights, develop solutions, programs, and policies; execute corporate center led HR initiatives.

   

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum of eight to ten years of progressive HR leadership or business experience is required. Prior experience overseeing HR teams and efforts for multi-site manufacturing facilities is required. International experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead in a matrix environment, and work independently across multiple sites with minimal supervision.
  • Experience managing and developing site level HR Business Partners and HR Generalists is required.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, every changing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving experience and ability to be flexible and resilient in the face of challenging and changing business needs is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of employees and leaders as a trusted advisor and confidant.
  • Successful experience working in a matrix environment, supporting operations and commercial teams.
  • Proven ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including overnight travel required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of energy and initiative to tackle issues, projects, and new initiatives.
  • Highly flexible.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
