Intro

We are looking for a talented Visual Designer to join our team and help us create the future of design and interaction for some of the world’s largest brands.

You will be engaged with one of Rightpoint's clients and work on some very dynamic and innovative projects. The client is one of the leaders in the Financial Services Industry.

Currently this role is remote. There are expectations that this role becomes a Hybrid role. You would be expected to be in office sporadically (Required).

At this time, we are only considering candidates that are currently living in the Greater Toronto area.

The visual designer is tasked with ensuring that all elements of the product's design reflect the goals of the senior visual designer. Visual designers are tasked with creating the aesthetic, or the look and feel of the design. Visual designers may change the design of icons and buttons, color schemes, images and visual layout, and typography. They draft concepts and artwork in addition to templates of the digital layout of the product while working within the guidelines of the organization's brand. The Visual Designer will have extensive experience designing for mobile and responsive web applications and can successfully hand off production ready design assets to engineering. They also tend to collaborate with other teams in the organization when it comes to data visualization or interaction models.
 

What We’d Love to See

• A great online portfolio that showcases multiple types of projects and solutions that you have had direct work within and can explicitly demonstrate your contributions
• Mid-level professional experience in the visual design field
• Proficient in software such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and other related design and sketch tools
• Experience having worked in finance/banking/capital markets
• The ability to translate feedback into definable edits/outputs
• Understanding of Production Design and can successfully hand off production ready design assets to engineering
• Produce variations of key screens using established product/project design system
• Update visual design of components using established product/project design system
• Experience working within one or all of the following
  • Mobile
  • Customer Onboarding
  • Desktop Applications
• Ability to think conceptually and create and/or take direction and bring it to life.
• Tireless desire to learn driven by curiosity and a great collaborative attitude
• Pixel-perfect design sensibility and a full understanding of typography
• Experience in the Financial Services/Banking industry a plus
