Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Information Systems Administrator to serve as a technical leader on our internal Systems and IT team. This senior individual contributor role is responsible for the administration, optimization, maintenance, and governance of key enterprise knowledge management and collaboration platforms, with a focus on Salesforce and SharePoint.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in at least one of these platforms and strong working knowledge of the other. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience administering SFDC and SPO environments in complex, enterprise-scale organizations.
This role reports directly to the Director of IT and requires a self-directed professional capable of operating with strategic oversight.
 
Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Platform Administration

  • Administer, configure, and optimize enterprise business applications with a strong focus on Salesforce and SharePoint but including other business applications supporting Sales, Marketing, and Delivery functions
  • Manage user access, permissions, roles, and security models
  • Manage app integrations including OAuth connectors and SSO
  • Ensure platform stability, performance, and availability
  • Implement governance standards, change control, and best practices
  • Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues

Architecture and Optimization

  • Design scalable solutions aligned to business requirements to enable support and delivery functions
  • Lead configuration and process/workflow improvements
  • Evaluate and manage third-party integrations and connectors
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

Security, Compliance, and Data Stewardship

  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular reviews of platform configuration against internal and industry standard benchmarks
  • Manage data classification, retention policies, and audit controls
  • Partner with the Information Security Lead to implement controls and monitor risk
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure data is up-to-date and accurate

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Serve as the technical SME for platforms managed by the IT team
  • Provide guidance to IT peers and business stakeholders regarding technical initiatives and platform enhancements
  • Lead enhancement and change projects
  • Participate in roadmap planning and long-term platform strategy
  • Mentor IT peers and promote active knowledge sharing

Documentation and Governance

  • Develop and maintain architecture documentation and system diagrams
  • Develop and maintain detailed process documentation
  • Establish and maintain platform standards and operational procedures
 
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in systems administration
  • Demonstrated experience administering Salesforce or SharePoint Online in an enterprise environment
  • Deep understanding of user management, security models, and governance frameworks
  • Experience managing integrations with other enterprise systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with both Salesforce and SharePoint administration
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification and/or Advanced Administrator Certification
  • Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint, M365, or Power Platform
  • Experience with:
    • Power Automate / Power Apps
    • Salesforce Flow / Process Builder / Lightning Experience
    • Data migration and integration tools
    • API-based integrations
    • Identity Management in Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Experience in a global or distributed organization
  • Experience with MS Copilot
