Summary:
The Rotational Training Associate is a member of RES’ annual cohort of Rotational Training Program Associates (“RES-RTP”). This is a two-year program made up of four, six-month rotations through select business units and support functions of RES’ Development, Construction, and Operations businesses. The focus of the program is on building the future capabilities of RES by investing in high-potential individuals by giving them intensive, hands-on experience and cross functional exposure resulting in a diverse, well-rounded, highly capable workforce. The start date for this position is June 2nd and is located in Denver, Colorado.
Requirements:
Specific duties within example rotations (additional rotations may be added according to RES needs and RTP Associate Strengths):
- Contract Management: Support the one or more contract managers in all aspects of procurement and construction contracting. Including but not limited to, supporting EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and major equipment contract negotiations, collaborating with various stakeholders to finalize technical, commercial, and legal contract exhibits, risk and scope gap identification, contract review and enforcement.
- Project Development: Assist one or more project developers in all aspects of project development, from site prospecting to landowner outreach and negotiations, to permitting and stakeholder engagement, project management and administration, coordination of interconnection and engineering, title curative, project due-diligence support, arranging for and interpreting results of critical environmental and engineering studies.
- Project Controls: Drive successful project delivery, supporting solar, energy storage, wind, transmission and distribution. This person works in close partnership with the Construction Project Management team to ensure that projects are delivered safely on time and on budget. Areas of responsibility include cost control, cost reporting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance measurement, earned value analysis, contract management, subcontracts compliance, invoice management, change management, and risk analysis.
- Origination & Regulatory Affairs: Responsible for coordinating and submitting responses to RFPs, preparing project marketing materials as well as assisting in the day-to-day aspects of regulatory affairs by providing detailed market and regulatory analysis, and supporting commercial negotiations.
- Development Pre-Construction: Assist one of RES Pre-construction managers in identifying, quantifying and coordinating to address engineering, procurement and construction related risks to RES developed projects. Including coordination and solution creation around schedule assembly and review, project construction cost estimating, project specific engineering coordination, scope gap identification and quantification.
- Development Strategy & Technology: Supporting the development strategy and technology team to identify, understand and ultimately exploit market opportunities. Including work within power markets, data science, renewable energy related technology advancement, site prospecting support, and market and technology analysis.
- Operations & Asset Management (Support Services): Support of RES asset management team in business development of RES’ Asset Management program. Further supporting RES in the commercial, and technical management of assets including identifying and understanding technical performance of managed assets, support of commercial management such as billing, invoicing and reporting, and contract management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Energy, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, or Finance required.
- Master’s degree in Law, Energy, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, or Finance required.
- 1 or more years' experience in energy or energy-related field preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically 5 to 15% required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
- Highly effective written and verbal communicator, deeply adept in working in cross-functional groups.

Anticipated base salary: $71,00 - $75,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.

Physical requirements and environment:
Rarely: Climbing, crouching, kneeling, pulling/pushing/lifting between 5-15lbs., and stooping are required.
Occasionally: Carrying 5-15lbs., gripping, handling, pinching, and walking are required.
Frequently: Standing is required.
Constantly: Reading, grasping, hearing, reaching, vision, repetitive motion, and sitting is required.
