A day in the life:
We are pleased to present an innovative prospect for a Software Engineering Manager, offering the chance to spearhead a dynamic and prominently featured project and assume leadership of a compact, yet exceptionally skilled team, all while accommodating a flexible telework schedule of up to four days a week.
This development effort encompasses a comprehensive full-stack architecture with a substantial emphasis on Java and Python, predominantly hosted within the AWS environment, until it transitions to a higher-security environment. However, it is important to note that this role primarily focuses on Python in support of the DevOps team. It entails close collaboration with the customer to ensure on-time project delivery, while also encompassing a crucial front-end component.

What you bring to the table:
All of our cloud engineers need the following skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
For this particular role, you will also need:
- 12+ years of relevant software engineering experience including 8+ years working with Java or Python
Prior experience leading a complex development project. - 5+ years of experience in encryption with a deep understanding of key management
- 3+ years of experience with REST APIs
- AWS experience
- React.JS experience
- Containerization and Kubernetes experience
- Gitlab/DevOps experience
- Deep understanding of Agile methodology
- Must be an effective team member with strong communication skills and the ability to follow through, stay motivated, and collaborate with all team members
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
- Basic Understanding of cryptographic solutions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required OR 4 years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph
These are important skills to have, but not necessarily mandatory:
- Understanding of distributed systems
