Purpose of Role  
  
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for data-driven insights? Look no further! We’re seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our team.  
As a key member of our Finance Team, your mission will be to ensure accurate and insightful financial and management reporting. Additionally, you’ll drive enhancements in our finance systems, streamline processes, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to create robust reports to meet both internal and external requirements.  
   
  
Responsibilities & Accountabilities  
  
Management Reporting  
  • Manage the end of month reporting process
  • Prepare the monthly Board report, updating the reporting model to meet the Board requirements and provide analysis & insight into performance and financial position
  • Prepare a monthly report of performance by division to be submitted and presented to the Executive Leadership Team
  • Provide information to support the Finance Business Partners deliver monthly reporting at a divisional, group and team level
  • Upload the annual budget and quarterly forecast and prepare reporting to Key stakeholders
  • Manage the reporting for transformation projects and initiatives
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and reporting codes to the QTC organisational structure and reporting requirements
  • Develop reporting to provide insight and meet the needs of external and internal stakeholders
Financial Reporting  
  • Complete quarterly and end of financial year reporting to Queensland Treasury
  • Complete disclosures as part of the statutory reporting requirements for QTC
System & Data 
  • Work with our managed service provider and Finance system developers to address system issues or limitations
  • Work with our Vendor Management team to maintain vendor account plan, assess and provide performance feedback to managed service provider through established forums
  • Identify improvements and automation opportunities that drive efficiencies in finance processes and workflows
  • Identify workflows to improve Internal controls on finance processes
  • Maintain the mapping of data from Treasury Management system to ensure it is complete and accurate, and supports our reporting requirements
  • Perform testing for upgrades to QTC’s finance and treasury management systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve the Finance dataset to enhance reporting
 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting or equivalent
  • CA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent
