We protect Queensland’s financial interests and deliver better financial outcomes by centralising the management of our clients’ borrowings, cash investments, and foreign exchange. 
 
About the team:
QTC’s Advisory Division is focused on supporting financial sustainability and operational excellence across Queensland’s local government sector. The local government – treasury management team within the Advisory Division supports the delivery of core treasury products and services to QTC’s local government and education sector clients.
 
QTC’S local government team contributes to projects that create meaningful solutions with impactful outcomes. Our work addresses challenges of today, with results for tomorrow, striving to improve Queensland for generations to come.
 
Purpose of Role:
QTC are seeking a talented Associate to join the Local Government – Treasury Management Team, Advisory Division team in Brisbane on a permanent basis. 
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the Director and team members in providing client facing support for QTC products and service advice.
  • Analysis of client financial information.
  • Analysing the cost/benefit of various solution alternatives.
  • Answering and responding to client account related enquires.
  • System testing and maintenance including updating of key contact and systems access details.
  • Facilitating client transactions including co-ordinating internal teams and stakeholders.
  • On-boarding of clients to QTCs systems including necessary paperwork execution and management.
  • Providing support and training for clients on QTC’s products and resources.
  • Supporting internal audit and management reporting.
  • Working as part of a team to provide advice on Financial, governance and risk management activities.
  • Bring a risk and continuous improvement mindset to advocate and support change.
  • Collaborate and innovate with excellence to best manage flow of work and information to create value.
  • Bring superior stakeholder engagement skills to champion client centricity – our clients goals are at the heart of everything we do.
 
 
About You:
You will bring prior experience from a similar role including:
  • Understanding of local government sector issues and challenges
  • Ability to synthesis the right data independently and identifies solid insights.
  • An understanding of financial markets and strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Relationship management skills including the proven ability to develop partnerships with clients and internal teams
  • Sales experience desirable, coupled with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Exposure to financial modelling and/or data modelling with the drive to learn fast
