Description
Responsible for the safe and timely transportation and assistance of Palomar employees to and from the parking lots to Palomar Medical Center Escondido. Also responsible for the adherence to the vehicle safety and maintenance procedures, California vehicle codes, and defensive driving. Participates as a team member of the security team to ensure appropriate care, support and resources to all employees and displays on-going commitment to quality. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Create and maintain a safe, comfortable, confidential, patient centric environment for all of our employees, guests and visitors.
Provide visitor support and management for all of our guests which will include: Assist at the main lobby entrance by opening patients and visitors car doors, give directions, bring and push wheelchairs for patients, help the volunteers at the main, greet everyone with a smile and show each customer they are important and we appreciate them choosing us.
Actively participate in providing excellent customer service that exceeds the expectations of staff, patients and guests. Be resourceful and seek to solve issues that arise for patients and visitors and provide Service Recovery as needed.

Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
Preferred Education: Specialized vocational training and basic college coursework
Minimum Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience
Preferred Experience: 2 - 3 years related experience
