Manager, Behavioral Health (Licensed Psychologist)
Responsible for the overall operation of assigned Behavioral Health and Psychology training program(s). Major role functions include: managing, directing and delegating patient care, education, clinical program, consultation, human resource management, regulatory compliance and financial management. Additionally, responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, intern clinical supervision and administering Clinical Psychology training program.
The Manager, Behavioral Health is also responsible for the coordination and successful implementation of all Outpatient substance use disorder program services. Some of the duties will include performing client assessments, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, training program staff and recommending and executing changes and enhancements to the SUD program.
Requires 24-hour accountability. Participates as a team member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care, support and resources to all internal/ external customers and displays on-going commitment to quality.
Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
|Minimum Education:||PhD in Psychology or PsyD|
|Preferred Education:||Additional Training in CPT, CBT, EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Chemical Dependency|
|Minimum Experience:||1 - 2 years related|
|Preferred Experience:||2 - 3 years related, including these treatment modalities: CPT, CBT, EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Chemical Dependency, LPS. Previous clinical or leadership responsibility in an outpatient substance use disorder program.|
