Job Summary  

The Compliance Manager shall lead and manage the quality team with the responsibilities for safety,  

Quality Assurance, Quality Control and people management. The manager shall ensure that all  

materials (inputs) and finished productions are controlled. The manager shall ensure the organization  

adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. It involves monitoring regulations,  

assessing compliance requirements, and effectively meeting them to avoid non-compliance. The role  

encompasses the responsibility to facilitate business continuity by making sure that the business meets  

the requirements (complaint) to trade.  

Key Responsibilities.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITIES  

Safety  


Champion all aspects safety within the department. Instil a sense of self responsibility for safety  

among employees, exhibit a safety-first attitude in all that is done, ensure a healthy and safe  

environment.  



Assure the safety of the employees and the safe use of equipment, including housekeeping  

and environmental compliance.  

Personally, comply and ensure employee compliance with all workplace and product safety  

standards and procedures.  

Quality  


Developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and  

writing reports documenting production issues.  



Revise and manage procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-  

conformity issues.  

Identify and assess potential risks and control weaknesses and develop recommendations for  

improvement.  



Supervising the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent standards  

Ensures Quality management systems are implemented, sustained and updated for  

compliance.  

Operations  




Support the goals of the plant by managing all aspects of QC and QA  

Establish, monitor, and achieve departmental operating key performance indicators  

Coordinates the development and implementation of written best practices documentation and  

standard operating procedures (SOPs) in alignment objectives.  



Understands the production process flow and participates in ensuring that GMP are  

implemented and sustained in the process  

Establish and monitor annual goals and objectives for the department and reporting monthly  

performance against agreed quality targets.  



Clearly communicate goals and drive accountability throughout the department.  

Instill a customer-centered culture within the department’s team. Support efforts to achieve  

excellent in equipment run ability.  


Attends to and ensures closure of both internal and external customer complaints with the

Develop and continually improve Quality knowledge of processes to       continually improve and  

problem solve.  

Develop and manage Monthly departmental reports demonstrating continuous  

improvements.  



Travel to customer sites, vendors and other facilities may be required for technical support.  

To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Management from time to time  

Audits (Kenya & Tanzania)  



Ability to conduct internal operational audits and investigations  

Lead and manage customer driven audits to ensure timely completion and achievement of audit  

objectives for the two sites.  


Technical knowhow and experience with handling certification body audits and compliance  

requirements. (ISO, SMETA, FSC etc)  



Review and evaluate audit findings, and prepare comprehensive audit reports for management  

Drive compliance to regulatory bodies for business continuity and reports on any potential  

compliance risks.  



Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards  

Develop and implement audit plans and strategies to ensure compliance with company policies  

and industry regulations.  


Provide guidance and training to audit staff and promote a culture of continuous improvement  

and learning.  

Stakeholder engagements  



Supervise all the business processes that involve compliance and regulations.  

Take timely actions to ensure compliance, both with national/local laws and internal policies of  

the company.  






Carry out investigations to find gaps in the current strategies, which involve compliance and  

rectify them as per the regulatory guidelines.  

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of  

audit issues.  

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and incorporate them into audit  

processes and procedures.  

Ensure compliance with ethical standards and professional guidelines and maintain  

confidentiality of audit information.  

Ensure that third party contractors/Suppliers adhere to laid down MCC procedures and are  

compliant with the local municipality or government business requirements.  

Experience/Skills Required  









Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Laboratory Technology or any related science  

At least 5year in printing or Beverage industry in a senior or supervisory position.  

Rational, fact-driven decision-making skills.  

High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.  

Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and present findings.  

Candidate must be a self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills.  

Experience leading projects, delegating, and seeing problems through to resolution.  

Articulate, clear, persuasive and passionate in the spoken and written word; able to create  

and lead a vision with a team.  




Must be able to make effective and persuasive presentations on departmental topics.  

Must be able to relate to people at all levels of the organization, including diverse cultures.  

Assertive and solution focused with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced  

environment.  



Positive attitude, team player, proven leadership skills. Ability to lead, oversee, and develop  

others.
