Planning/ Procurement and Logistics Coordinator
Description
At Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) Cardiff, we're looking for a Planning/ Procurement and Logistics Coordinator to join the team. In the role you will play a key role in supporting the sites planning, scheduling, and management of inventory to ensure a seamless supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Production Planning & Scheduling,
- Develop and maintain daily production schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align material availability with production timelines.
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts to minimize downtime.
Support Materials Procurement & Inventory Control:
- Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials required for print presses, maintaining a steady supply chain.
- Oversee aged inventory, implementing strategies to optimize stock turnover and reduce waste.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Support with the General Procurement & Purchase Order Management:
- Generate and process purchase orders (POs) for required materials and supplies.
- Track orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including vendor details and pricing agreements.
Support with the Finished Goods Stock Management:
- Assist in tracking and maintaining finished goods inventory.
- Work with sales and production teams to ensure the availability of finished products for dispatch.
Support with the Warehouse & Dispatch Support:
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient material handling and storage.
- Assist in order fulfilment and dispatch processes as needed.
- Support stocktaking and inventory audits to ensure accuracy in records.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and dispatch procedures is a plus.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (days)
Salary: From £33,000 - £35000
