Description

The Category Analyst​ works collaboratively with the Strategic Sourcing Manager, Real Estate, VP., Director and Project Managers, Category Analysts and Procurement team, Medical Directors, Hospital Directors, Clinical Managers, Support Services and Leadership to strategically provide support to the Real Estate, Procurement Teams and Vendor partners in everyday functions of the Real Estate category. 
 
The Category Analyst role is an in-office work position (4 days in office 1 day remote, located at our home office in Worthington, OH)
 
Responsible for the overall execution of the strategy initiatives which support the Real Estate Category and conduct analysis of category performance, industry trends & insights, while executing promotional planning, and day to day vendor management. 
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  
  • Analyze of all aspects associated with Real Estate category, including, but not limited to, Denovo Construction projects, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Security Systems and Signage. 
  • Support and/or manage the VME equipment purchases in support/partnership with the procurement team for real estate projects 
  • Generate, analyze, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data to support efficient management of Real Estate category and drive critical business decisions.  
  • Understand and manage Real Estate supplier and business partner relationships, perform contract negotiations to optimize financial and operational benefits and mitigate risk. 
  • Support Real Estate cross-functional teams in sourcing projects, assist in negotiation/persuasion with suppliers and internal partners to make the best procurement decision. 
  • Execute Real Estate category strategy, implementation plan and monitor real estate projects. 
  • Participate in Real Estate Supplier meetings, presentations, scorecard creation and business/project reviews. 
  • Manage day-to-day vendor contract for all issues related to SKU set up, warranty, service, repair, pricing, costs, and product logistics. 
  • Meet regularly with Real Estate; VP., Director and Project Managers to promote and monitor quality of service and future project requirements. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing systems and analytical tools. 
  • Regular quality checks for spend and savings data accuracy. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, business concentration with 1-3 or more years of sourcing management and/or data analysis experience.  In addition, this position requires:  
 
  • Knowledge of Real Estate construction processes, methods, materials, equipment and terminology. HVAC, plumbing and electrical. 
  • Knowledge of sourcing and/or contracting process best practices and measurement techniques. 
  • Understanding of finance and accounting impact of assigned areas of spend. 
  • Strategic thinker who develops strategic plans for long-term value and business advantage and proactively mitigates risk. 
  • Analytical skills with ability to manipulate large volumes of spend data for analysis of supplier, product, and facility utilization. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively and facilitate effective collaboration with internal and external audiences 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset, flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements, deadlines and priorities. 
  • Strong sense of culture and ability to influence behavior and drive change management 
  • Strong project management skills and process excellence 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software – particularly Excel
