Description

The Salesforce IT Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of MedVet’s Salesforce ecosystem — including Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Data Cloud. This role will support the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce to align with business objectives, enhance user experience, and drive cross-functional data integration and analytics.
 
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Salesforce administration and integration, experience supporting cloud-based marketing and sales operations, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustain
able Salesforce solutions.
 
 
 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
 Implementation & Configuration
• Lead configuration and deployment of Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud components.
• Implement automation (flows, workflows, triggers) to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
• Configure and maintain Marketing Cloud assets including Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Audience Builder.
• Build and manage data extensions, segmentation models, and customer journeys to drive personalized engagement.
• Manage Data Cloud ingestion pipelines, data harmonization, and identity resolution to support unified customer profiles.
• Develop and customize Salesforce reports.
 
Administration & Maintenance  
• Maintain system integrity through regular data audits, sandbox refreshes, and release management.
• Manage user profiles, roles, permissions, and data access across Salesforce products.
• Support integration with third-party systems (e.g., ERP, analytics, and marketing automation tools).
• Monitor system health, security settings, and compliance with data governance and privacy standards.
 
Data Management & Governance  
• Oversee data quality, deduplication, and enrichment processes across Salesforce Clouds.
• Partner with data and analytics teams to define and maintain consistent data models and reporting structures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational data policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, etc., as applicable).
 
Collaboration & Support  
• Collaborate with business units, marketing, and operations to understand requirements and deliver Salesforce-enabled solutions.
• Provide user training, documentation, and tier-2 support to ensure adoption and usability.
• Participate in agile project delivery, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
 
The ideal candidate has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience), 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce Administration with hands-on configuration and support of Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud. In addition, this position requires:
 
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud setup, data mapping, and ingestion pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, automation tools, and data architecture.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations via APIs, middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.), or ETL tools.
• Proficient in data management, relational databases, and reporting/analytics tools.
 
Preferred:  
• Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM-201).
• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator or Consultant.
• Experience implementing or supporting Data Cloud / Customer Data Platform (CDP).
• Familiarity with marketing automation, lead management, and campaign analytics.
• Basic understanding of SQL and data transformation.
 
 
The posted range for this position is $69,400-$95,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
