About You and this Role
As an Analyst Relations Manager, you’ll be responsible for defining and executing Liferay’s analyst relations plan. You will work hand-in-hand with executives and SMEs to educate industry analysts at firms like Gartner, Forrester, and IDC about Liferay’s value proposition and differentiators. Your intellectual curiosity and interpersonal skills will establish you as a trusted advisor to Liferay leadership and enable you to transform industry analysts into advocates.
Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and own Liferay’s analyst relations strategy and plan.
- Manage the process of participating in analyst evaluations, such as Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, and IDC MarketScapes. This includes serving as an editor in the process, ensuring quality and consistent responses, and as a project manager, ensuring Liferay teams contribute according to schedule.
- Curate and share key pieces of analyst research to provide insight to the Liferay organization. Often, you’ll need to read the research yourself, understand the key ideas, summarize research for stakeholders, and draw upon research in contributing to conversations with analysts in briefings and inquiries.
- Nurture relationships with analysts and serve as the primary point of contact for analyst firms at Liferay.
- Schedule regular briefings and inquiries with analysts with an eye toward elevating Liferay's profile.
- Identify opportunities for engagement and amplification of Liferay’s story outside of core analysts.
- Help negotiate and manage contracts with industry analyst firms to ensure they drive value and align to Liferay’s business needs.
- Manage and respond to internal requests for analyst research.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in analyst or public relations, preferably at a B2B vendor.
- Successful track record of participating in Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, and IDC MarketScape evaluations.
- Background working with technical product teams and an ability to understand and communicate the business value of technical concepts. It will be helpful if you have experience working with B2B, cloud-based platform technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, content creation, and time management skills
- Proactive approach to refining and growing cross-departmental initiatives.
