Financial Accountant

As Financial Accountant, you will play a key part of the finance team and are expected to be able to actively contribute to the smooth running of the finance month end, performing end to end finance processes and meeting deadlines set by group finance. You are expected to review the P&L/Balance sheets, analyse & investigate variances and ensure revenues & costs are accounted for accurately.

 

Your ability to work proactive & independently within a small regional team, as well as effective collaboration with the global team is key to your success in this role.

      Reports to the Finance Director, LHH DACH

 

In this role you can expect to

Key Accountabilities

      Responsible for reviewing monthly accounts postings and preparing relevant accruals and prepayments

      Ownership of full management accounts, including review/comparisons to previous periods and liaising with relevant departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of postings

      Prepare meaningful monthly balance sheet reconciliations providing necessary evidence/justifications and proactively resolving aged items

      Prepare & accurately post payroll journals and reconciliations

      Ensure financial information is reviewed to identify any issues that would impact the accuracy and reliability of financial information presented

      Complete GRP/HFM submissions, as well as other ad hoc Adecco/Group reporting

      Support in the yearly external & internal Audit

      Partner closely with the FP&A team, for example communicate to FP&A any material P&L/balance sheet adjustments that should be captured in the forecast/budget and provide to FP&A any other data requested/required for forecasting and budgeting

      Support projects as necessary

      Develop the existing financial accounting and financial reporting processes

 

Here’s what you’ll need to succeed

      Strong English language skills (written and verbal) are necessary and German language skills (written and verbal) is a plus

      2-3 years' Finance experience (history in an international environment beneficial)

      Strong problem solving skills and accuracy

      History of using the full Microsoft Office package (especially excel) at an advanced level.

      Professional, proactive, engaging manner and high energy.

      Exceptional time-management skills and proven aptitude in managing multiple priorities. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines with accuracy.

      Problem-solving and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and analyse findings.

      Able to network effectively and build constructive working relationships. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

      Ability to project manage effectively and ensure stakeholder management.

      Able to demonstrate discretion and integrity in the handling of confidential and highly sensitive information.
