ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the Group's financial reporting and compliance under IFRS standards. In this role, you will assist the monthly group consolidation process, maintain robust reconciliation controls, and collaborate closely with external auditors to ensure smooth, efficient financial audits.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Being of great assistance in the preparation of Group Consolidation and the necessary supporting documentation, analysing and interpreting data to ensure that this complies with IFRS Standards.
- Assisting with the existing reconciliation processes in preparation for consolidation reporting process, including any preliminary accounting.
- Ensure that robust processes are in place for the necessary reporting reconciliations, making sure that these are backed up with the relevant checks and controls.
- Responsible for over support in financial audits, ensuring that this will be conducted in a smooth and efficient way. Together with the Team, to be involved in setting up audit plans and ensure that necessary follow ups are held to monitor the progress of each individual audit, involving direct communication with the external auditors.
- Be of great support on M&A and liquidation type of accounting, supporting with the necessary accounting treatment.
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on the
- financials. Be involved in discussions/meetings concerning this area.
- Undertake ad hoc assignments and produce reports as needed to support
- business operations.
- Being a key contributor in determining AI Possibilities, maintaining control over efficiency and automation type of projects impacting consolidation and financial audits.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fully Qualified Accountant (Master in Accountancy or ACCA-qualified)
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, with a significant portion in a senior-level role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRSs, reporting including practical experience in preparing comprehensive financial statements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Audit Experience would be considered as an asset.
- Experience within the Gaming Industry would be considered an asset.
