Position Title: Senior Engineering Manager
Location: Colombia (Hybrid)

 

What you will be doing:
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions that include no-code and low-code platforms. In this role, you will oversee a team of engineers, guiding them in designing scalable application frameworks, automating workflows, and developing tools that empower users to build applications with minimal coding expertise. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the delivery of impactful, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. With a strong technical background in software development, leadership, and a passion for innovation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's automation strategy, implementing best practices, and staying ahead of emerging technologies to drive business success.
  • Build and manage a team of engineers specializing in no-code and low-code platforms.
  • Guide the team in designing, implementing, and maintaining no-code/low-code solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain tools for workflow automation, integration of third-party services, and efficient application deployment.
  • Work with product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to design and implement user-centric solutions.
  • Evaluate and implement best practices in no-code/low-code application design, development, and governance.
  • Document architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and standard operating procedures for no-code/low-code solutions.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical no-code/low-code applications.
  • Oversee the integration of no-code/low-code platforms with existing enterprise systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards in all solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.
  • Partner with product teams to align no-code/low-code solutions with business goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship to team members.
  • Manage budgets and resources for no-code/low-code projects effectively.

 

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Main Skills:
These are the must-haves that are essential for this position. 
  • Bachelor’s or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development or IT solutions, with 2+ years of experience with no-code/low-code platforms.
  • Proficiency with leading no-code/low-code.
  • Experience in high-level architecture design and solution development.
  • Strong understanding of workflow automation, business process modeling, and integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with APIs and integration tools for connecting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management for no-code/low-code solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with governance, scalability, and security.
  • Expertise in managing and deploying enterprise-scale applications.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or scripting languages. 
  • Understanding of large-scale systems, including parallel computing.
  • Knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Competence in version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Secondary Skills:

  • Exceptional ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Capacity for systems capacity planning, hardware and software updates, and migration.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies in AI and ML to enhance institutional capabilities.
