Behavioral Health Counselor (Bachelor’s Level) – Child & Family Wraparound Services

Full-Time

Hiring Range: $26.89 - $33.61 Per Hour

Additional $2.00/Hour WISe Differential

In this role, you will be a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, providing clinical services and crisis intervention to children and families in the community. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and efficient clinical services to eligible children and families, utilizing evidence-based practice models such as STAY and RUBI.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records in a timely manner, including progress notes, safety plans, and cross-system care plans.
  • Conduct outreach services to clients and their caregivers, ensuring accessibility to necessary resources and support.
  • Collaborate with schools, social service agencies, and other providers to ensure holistic care and support for clients and families.
  • Educate and advocate for clients' rights and preferences, consulting with families and community agencies as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention counseling and coordinate with Crisis Responders/crisis services when appropriate.
  • Participate in team meetings and treatment planning review meetings, contributing to comprehensive care plans.
  • Assist clients with substance use issues by providing information, coordinating treatment, and facilitating access to relevant resources.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and recreational groups for youth and families enrolled in services.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health or Bachelor’s degree in related field.

EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 3 years of job-related experience)

At least three years of experience in direct treatment of persons with mental illness or emotional disturbance, such experience gained under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional.

This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.

 

LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Enrollment in continuing education in pursuit of a master’s level degree in social services related field.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, vocational services, or substance abuse treatment.
