Day to Day Responsibilities
- As a Tire Service Technician, you'll embody our commitment to Service Excellence by performing a tire service on customer equipment the Kal Tire way.
- You'll collaborate with mine maintenance staff, conduct maintenance on tools and equipment, and ensure tire inspection and maintenance programs are meticulously upheld.
- Responding to after-hours callouts as directed, you'll showcase and advocate for best practices and continuous improvement in all operations.
- On the technical front, you'll expertly dismount and mount tires for various mining vehicles, ensuring safety and load requirements are met.
- Operating heavy-duty tire servicing equipment and tools, you'll conduct repairs, inspections, and calibrations with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Your dedication to Health, Safety & Environment will be evident as you maintain compliance, report hazards, and actively contribute to maintaining hygiene standards.

- At least 2 years of related experience with direct experience as a tire fitter preferred.
- OTR service training and certifications desired. Basic tire fitting skills – Tire fitter Levels 1 & 2 preferred.
- Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks.
- Experience working in an environment where safety procedures are a key part of daily operations.
