SAP Build & Joule Studio Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an SAP Build & Joule Studio Developer within our newly established SAP AI Consulting team, you will design and deliver intelligent, low-code AI-powered solutions for enterprise clients running SAP S/4HANA on RISE Private Cloud.

You will leverage SAP Build (Process Automation, Apps, Work Zone) together with SAP Joule Studio to create conversational AI experiences, automated workflows, and AI-augmented user interfaces. This is a hands-on development role that sits at the intersection of SAP's low-code platform capabilities and the emerging Generative AI toolchain.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of hands-on SAP development experience, including minimum 2 years on SAP BTP and 2+ years of dedicated SAP Build platform experience (Build Apps, Build Process Automation, and/or Build Work Zone)
• Proven project experience with SAP Build Apps and/or SAP Build Process Automation
• Hands-on experience developing SAP Joule skills and AI agents using SAP Joule Studio, including multi-turn dialogue design, action configuration, grounding with business context, and end-to-end skill testing and rollout
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and practical experience integrating AI tools into enterprise workflows, including working knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and AI tool/function calling patterns used in agentic architectures
• Proficiency in REST API integration, OData services, and JSON/XML data formats
• SAP Build platform administration knowledge, including subscription and entitlement management, role and permission configuration, transport and lifecycle management, and governance best practices across Build Apps, Process Automation, and Work Zone
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in client-facing engagements
• Proficiency in English (written & verbal)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•       Experience developing custom Joule skills with multi-turn dialogue flows

•       Knowledge of SAP AI Core API for connecting Build solutions to custom ML models

•       SAP BTP Developer or SAP Build certification

•       Experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration / API Management)

•       Background in UX/UI design principles for enterprise applications

•       Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Fiori extensibility

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enhanced solutions using SAP Build Apps, SAP Build Process Automation, and SAP Build Work Zone
• Build and configure Joule skills and custom AI actions using SAP Joule Studio, including prompt engineering, skill testing, and rollout
• Integrate SAP Build solutions with S/4HANA, SAP BTP services, and third-party systems via SAP Integration Suite and REST/OData APIs
• Translate functional specifications from the Business Analyst team into working SAP Build artefacts (processes, apps, pages, workflows)
• Implement SAP Work Zone digital workplace experiences surfacing Joule and AI-assisted features to end users
• Conduct unit testing and support UAT; document developed solutions and maintain technical artefact libraries
• Advise clients on SAP Build governance, lifecycle management, and best practices for low-code AI development
• Collaborate with the SAP BTP Admin on environment setup, transport management, and role assignments
• Monitor SAP product releases related to Build and Joule Studio and evaluate new capabilities for client applicability
