Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

The Sanford Service Center is looking for a Production Coordinator to manage all inbound and outbound materials, equipment, parts, tools, etc. and any documentation associated with the items.

 Responsibilities:

  • Examine inbound and outbound shipment for correct item, quantity, and condition.
  • Compare records such as bill of lading, packing slip, purchase order, and sales order to verify accuracy.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Appropriately package, seal, and accurately label materials for shipping with the use of hand tools, power tools, or postage meter as required.
  • Prepare shipment contents per work order documentation ensuring accurate items, quantity, address, shipping method, etc.
  • Correspond with vendors and customer representatives as needed to provide shipping information.
  • Report problems such as damage, shortages, non conformance to specifications, etc.
  • Assemble fabricated parts prior to shipping or placing in inventory.
  • Clean, prep, paint, stamp, or assemble sub-components into larger components.
  • Perform quality checks and conduct final inspections prior to shipping parts.
  • Keep designated Shipping and Receiving area clean.
  • Capable and willing to support operations including supporting manufacturing personnel.

Qualifications and Competencies:   

 

  • High school diploma required. Associate’s degree or Industrial Skills Training/Certificate preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Forklift Certified or experience is desired.
  • Must have knowledge of and hands-on experience with mechanical systems, precision maintenance, and production processes.
  • Ability to work continuously on feet.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver a maximum of 100 lbs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer.
