We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead and grow the operations of our Burlington Service Center. This facility specializes in electromechanical motor in-shop repairs and distribution sales.
The Operations Manager will be responsible of ensuring the achievement of safety, operational, profit, sales, and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through the IPS operating system, CIPS (Continuous Improvement Process Solution).
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
- In collaboration with the Area Sales Manager, develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals for the service center.
- Develop and maintain key customer relationships and ensure optimal customer problem resolution resulting in an “Unmatched Customer Experience”.
- Analyze industry, market, and service center trends to capture opportunities and address issues.
- Develop and execute business strategy and annual operating plans (AOP).
- Monitor financial, sales, cost, operating, and customer service trends, and make necessary adjustments.
- Manage shop operations by planning work and production capacity, directly supervising employees and ensuring daily planned work is executed.
- Oversea shop maintenance, including facility and equipment inspections.
- Collaborate with HR for hiring, training, performance evaluation, succession planning and disciplinary actions.
- Lead the CIPS program to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Empower employees to make data-driven decisions and eliminate waste through visual management.
- Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with HS&E requirements to protect employees, the public, and the environment
- Ensure compliance with the IPS quality management system and ISO standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize resources and overcome business challenges.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related technical field
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with strong project management skills
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in general management or operations in an industrial services business, preferably in the motor repair business
- At least 3 years of experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies
- 5 years of experience managing large-scale projects
- Combined 10 years of experience in relevant fields
- MBA and Lean Certification are advantageous
Salary Range CA $150K - 200K
