Internet Brands is seeking an early-career public relations or communications professional to assist with building, growing and nurturing PR and Content Marketing initiatives for our growing portfolio of Legal brands.
 
Reporting to the Head of Communications and working closely with SEO and Marketing professionals across our Legal businesses, this position is ideal for a young professional looking to make an impact on a growing business by increasing exposure of existing high-value brands. You’ll work with great team members from across the U.S., interface with journalists at top-tier media outlets, help shape our social media voice, and serve as a crucial central point-person for all communications-related needs.
 
The ideal candidate has a strong passion for PR and is a strategic thinker who is creative, self-motivated, confident pitching the media in all formats, and has a firm understanding of how public relations can support business initiatives.
 
Responsibilities:
- Execute and shape broad PR strategy for Internet Brands’ portfolio of legal properties, including individual PR plans and content marketing strategies for each brand
- Research, manage, and grow relationships with members of the media and other influencers
- Draft media pitches, press releases, product announcements, media statements, and social media posts
- Heavy media pitching and content marketing outreach
- Track results of initiatives and report to management
- Vet, process, and make recommendations in response to inbound media inquires
- Assist with day-to-day management of social media accounts
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field
- 1-3 years experience in public relations and / or communications, either at an agency, in-house, or a combination of both settings
- Demonstrated ability to write in different styles / tones for different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with media and other influencers
- Demonstrated track record of successfully placing stories
- Superior writing and copy editing skills: grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.
- Self-motivated with the ability to hit goals with minimal supervision
- Combination of consumer brand and B2B brand experience a major plus
- SEO knowledge a major plus
- Familiarity with and contacts within legal trade media a plus
 
At Internet Brands, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the compensation for this role to start $55k and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
