The main responsibilities of a IT & Cyber Security Consultant will be evaluating prospective clients with discovery, analysis, and ultimately recommendations of strategic solutions for the prospective client. These solutions will leverage Impact’s Managed Services to address the core challenges and objectives that are uniquely identified for each customer.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT, Cyber Security, and other technology related solutions. The IT & Cyber Security Consultant will have the ability to solve business problems, drive innovation and consult on long-term business roadmaps for our clients by following our consultative and throughout sales process.  As a IT & Cyber Security Consultant you will:

Solve Business Problems - Conduct discovery with clients to identify business problems as is pertains to IT, Cyber Security, and Technology. Translate into a recommendation that ties together the solution and the value to the organization.
Drive Innovation - Bring precision to a client's decision-making process by presenting and evaluating solution options and aligning key stakeholders.
Become a Trusted Business Advisor - Demonstrate through storytelling and our Business Transformation Assessment how addressing business challenges, providing solutions for these challenges and future proofing an organization is possible through a long-term partnership. This includes but is not limited to the delivery of executive-level presentation and demonstrations and construction of a long-term Digital Transformation business roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and work through new business needs that come through our lead generation platform, sales development team, and your own personal prospecting efforts within your territory
  • Manage assigned territory
  • Conduct prospective client first-call phone conferences and in-person meetings with the assigned outside sales team. The ability to discuss the Managed IT & Cyber Security programs, explain the benefits and capabilities of our team, tools, procedures and staff is key to this role. The goal of this meeting is to introduce our IT & Cyber Security offerings and to get the client to agree to our paid Business Transformation Assessment (BTA).
  • Present technology and service demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Provide technical advice to prospective clients in terms of educating the prospect on the value of Impact Managed IT & Cyber Security services.
  • Conduct the in-person Business Transformation Assessment validation and proposal meetings with an assigned Business Development Specialist and Engineer. This includes walking the client through the Business Transformation Assessment documentation and explaining our recommendations. This requires the ability to take the technical details and explain them to C-Level prospects in a non-technical way. The emphasis is always on showing the client the value we bring and getting them excited about our Managed IT & Cyber Security Services.
  • Manage prospective client pipeline using Impact’s CRM, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Update all client activities on a minimum of twice-daily basis.
  • Process orders in the CRM and Impact Sales order process.
  • Stay current with Managed IT and Cyber Security solutions and is able to demonstrate our solutions to prospective clients at a high level
  • Own sales pipeline and associated quota. This includes farming for current client base and other activities that drive the sale of Managed IT and Cyber Security services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and attainment of certifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers that further develop our company’s positive reputation through exceptional customer service.
  • Manage workload to organize and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

 Professional Development

Professional development and education are staples of the Impact culture, as evidenced by the conception of the Impact Leadership Institute (ILI). Through the specialized Learning and Development Department comprised of industry thought-leaders dedicated to employee enablement – IT & Cyber Security Consultant are enrolled in an industry leading 18-month Consultative-Sales and Solutions Program. Classroom instruction begins at onboarding with an extensive and rigorous one-week course called Fundamentals, in which IT & Cyber Security Consultant learn go-to-market strategy, solution portfolio, objection-handling and prospecting techniques. In conjunction, Solution Engineers receive one-on-one field mentoring, online class certifications, eLearning modular trainings, and team assimilation within their first 30 days.

Over the duration of the Program, the ILI facilitates 1:1 Wellness Checks, Refresher Workshops, and advancing Sales Courses for IT & Cyber Security Consultant to accelerate sales process mastery, sales skills, solution and industry expertise to springboard them to their highest potential. In years following, they will receive ongoing technical certifications and partake in high-level strategic collaboration workshops.

Things We Are Looking For

Experience

  • Experience as a Network Administrator, Field Network Engineer or other IT related job may be considered in lieu of direct sales experience.
  • Experience in an IT related inside or outside sales role.
  • Experience as part of a Microsoft Partner organization is preferred but not required
  • Experience working for a managed services organization is preferred but not required

Other Skills & Abilities

  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be prepared to travel as required within assigned local territory

Computer Skills (preferred, not required)

  • Working knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server Operating systems
  • Understanding of networking concepts and related hardware (switches, firewalls, routers, etc.…)
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies, server hardware and storage systems.
  • Understanding of Cloud service offerings like: O365, G-Suite, Azure, AWS, WaaS, SaaS, IaaS, BDR and Business Continuity, etc.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations  

  • Certifications – Industry sales or technical certifications from partners like Microsoft, VMWare, HP, Dell, Cisco, etc.…

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology, related field of study, or equivalent work experience
