Impact is Hiring an Internal Communications Specialist to join our Award Winning Best & Brightest Workplace! 

The Internal Communications Specialist role will be responsible for creating, implementing and distributing internal employee communications content. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and be part of the Corporate Marketing team. The Specialist will translate business strategies and process updates into key messages, develop appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and execute and drive programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape culture.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to execute communications plans, strong writing skills, and a natural ability to think strategically while delivering tactical results. This role will work with executive leadership and internal teams to communicate new information and promote the company’s changes. Travel to Impact’s 23 branches will be required 25-50% of the time to meet with different teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create an internal communications platform across the firm that fuels employee engagement influences connectively and culture and positively impacts all employees  
  • Develop communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, presentation materials, videos, small group meetings, etc..) to articulate key messages 
  • Ensure communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate and appropriate
  • Use internal tools as appropriate to maximize Impact's internal communication effectiveness and ensures consistent messaging, branding, imagery and identity 
  • Assist in writing and editing impactful and engaging content that effectively describes and promotes the company's programs and initiatives
  • Manage content for the company intranet, ensuring that it is up to date, engaging and informative 
  • Implement metric reports to measure the effectiveness of internal communication channels and measures internal communications with the goals of continuously improving internal communication strategy to reach and engage employees

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, English communications, marketing or related field 
  • 2+ years of relevant communications experience 
  • Demonstrated previous experience in writing and editing marketing content; experience with web and digital content preferred
