As an Associate New Business Marketing Strategist, you'll have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with other team members to create a marketing strategy that helps our clients achieve their business goals. This involves diving deep into the client's business and conducting secondary market research on their consumers, competitors, and industry. With this information, you and the lead strategist will identify customer segments, map out the customer journey, find consumer insights, and build a channel plan that drives results for their business.
As you gain more experience in this role, you'll support the lead strategist in defining the target and positioning. You'll also have the opportunity to present your findings to key decision-makers within the client's organization, and eventually, take full responsibility for your own assessments within 12-18 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand objectives and needs of the client in discovery sessions with key stakeholders
- Support the development of marketing strategies that use data to solve problems and progress clients towards their goals
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure data is being used to accurately represent reality and effectively inform strategy
- Collaborate with Business Development Specialists (Sales) to ensure strategies are fully aligned and communicated with each client’s needs in mind
- Collaborate with the lead Strategist and Operations Manager to create a Scope of Work that aligns with your data-informed recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven work experience (minimum 1 years) as a researcher or strategist working in the realm of marketing
- An understanding of branding, content marketing, social media marketing, paid digital marketing, email marketing and digital marketing in general including SEO
- Analytical, creative, and critical thinker who knows how to accurately interpret data to identify and understand problems and enjoys thinking creatively to develop solutions
- Strong communication skills. Confident with speaking, writing, and presenting
- Inquisitive, persistent, courageous, and authentic with ability to challenge data, assumptions and points of view while maintaining respect for the individual
- Familiarity with standard digital marketing platforms and associated data points and their meanings
- Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush
- Familiarity with Google Analytics to identify problems and drive meaning
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft suite including PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel
