Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate CIO for Strategy and Operations, the Jr. IT Training Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of IT training directed at employees at the college, ensuring consistent understanding of goals and priorities, systems, processes, and practices.
Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Identify, develop and deliver comprehensive training aimed at improving the College’s technology literacy.
  • Track internal training, certifications, and other credentials, with a focus on ensuring that IT talent and skills are fresh, current, and continuously improving.
  • Work with Human Resources on technology recruiting and professional development strategies.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the College and/or industry.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or College developments that training could improve.
  • Oversee employee attendance and performance, track employee success and progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in technology support or a related field
  • Background in developing and training to different audiences
  • Intrinsically motivated, independent contributor, able to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication, team building, and collaboration skills required
  • Strong knowledge of the Information Technology landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Higher education experience is preferred.

Additional information:
This is a full time, exempt level position with a salary range of  $62,000-$65,000. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees.  The College also offers a competitive benefits package for full-time staff, including:
